On January 10, 2023, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed Executive Order 10, which puts a moratorium on certain administrative rule making and requires a comprehensive review of all existing administrative rules.
In accordance with the order, the IUB will review the necessity and effectiveness of all agency rules, including:
-
a cost benefit analysis to evaluate the rules' public benefits,
-
whether the benefits justify the cost, and
-
whether there are less restrictive alternatives to achieve the rules' intended goal.
The IUB’s Executive Order 10 completion deadline is December 31, 2025.
